Yuan SC710N1-L HDMI2.0 PCIe HDMI Capture Card with HDMI 2.0 Input at 4K60

Streaming or recording a 4K HDMI source usually means someone still wants to see it on a local screen, and a small form factor PC has only low profile slots. The SC710N1-L HDMI2.0 is Yuan’s low profile PCIe HDMI capture card for that case, capturing HDMI 2.0 at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60/50 fps with an HDMI 2.0 loop-through output and HDR support. It suits compact streaming, recording and display capture systems.

HDMI 2.0 modes run from 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at 60/50/30/25/24 fps through 2560 x 1440p at 144 fps and 1920 x 1080p at up to 240 fps, down to SD and PC modes such as 720 x 576i and 640 x 480, with more modes available through the SDK. HDR10 and HLG are supported, with HDR tone mapping, and HDMI 1.4b 3D is also supported. Formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4 8-bit, YUY2 at 4:2:2 8-bit, YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0 8-bit, and P010 at 4:2:0 10-bit. Audio arrives as one embedded HDMI stereo stream, 16-bit at 32 to 48 kHz.

The card uses a PCIe x4 Gen2 slot, and on-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing. There is no built-in hardware encoder, so compression runs on the host or a GPU. Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK supports multiple instances and multiple cards, and DirectShow and V4L2 support opens it to vMix, OBS, Zoom and Teams as well as custom software. The SC710N1-L 12G-SDI+HDMI2.0 adds a 12G-SDI input on a low profile card, and the SC710N1 M2 HDMI2.0 with Loop brings HDMI loop-through capture to M.2.

Yuan lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The low profile board measures 120 x 68.9 mm with the HDMI input and loop-through output on one bracket, which suits small form factor PCs and 2U rack chassis.
