A compact recorder or edge computer in a broadcast or production setting may meet a 12G-SDI camera one day and an HDMI source the next. The SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI / HDMI2.0 is Yuan’s M.2 HDMI and SDI capture card with one 12G-SDI input and one HDMI 2.0 input, so either kind of 4K source can be captured without changing card.
Over 12G-SDI the card takes 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at 60/50 fps, with 6G-SDI 4K at 30, 25 and 24 fps, 3G-SDI 1080p60/50, HD-SDI 1080p, 1080i and 720p, and SD-SDI 480i and 576i. The HDMI 2.0 input reaches 4K60, 2560 x 1440 at 144 fps and 1920 x 1080 at up to 240 fps. HDR10, HLG and HDMI 1.4b 3D are listed, with capture formats up to 10-bit P010 and stereo embedded audio from each input.
The card is M.2 Type M on a PCIe x4 link, with cropping and scaling, auto signal detection, deinterlacing and multiple instances on board. Yuan provides a Windows and Linux SDK, and DirectShow or V4L2 software such as vMix and OBS can use it directly. The SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI is the SDI-only M.2 version, and the SC710N1-L 12G-SDI+HDMI2.0 pairs the same two input types on a PCIe card.
Yuan lists Windows, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit, and Linux ARM on NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. We supply it tested in the host computer it goes into, with drivers installed and capture checked on the inputs you plan to use. The SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI / HDMI2.0 fits mobile production, compact broadcast recorders and mixed-source 4K capture.
