SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI QL Overview
Compact systems that capture SDI face two different jobs: one 4K camera that may arrive over a single 12G link or several slower links, or several HD cameras at once. The SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI QL is Yuan’s M.2 SDI video capture card that handles both, taking 4096 x 2160 at 60/50 fps over single, dual or quad-link SDI, or four separate 1080p60 feeds. It suits compact 4K recorders and multi-camera edge units.
In single-channel mode the card captures 4K over single-link 12G-SDI, dual-link 6G-SDI or quad-link SDI in 2SI or QSD division. 12G-SDI carries 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at 60/50 fps, 6G-SDI the same sizes at 30/25/24 fps and 3G-SDI 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps, with HD-SDI and SD-SDI formats also accepted. In multi-channel mode it captures four independent SDI feeds at up to 1920 x 1080p at 60/50 fps. Formats are RGB24 and RGB32 at 4:4:4 8-bit, YUY2 at 4:2:2 8-bit, YV12 and NV12 at 4:2:0 8-bit, and P010 at 4:2:0 10-bit. Audio arrives as four embedded stereo streams, with VANC data captured alongside.
The card is an M.2 Type M module of 30 x 80 mm on a PCIe x4 link, and on-board processing covers cropping and scaling, automatic signal detection and deinterlacing. There is no built-in hardware encoder, so compression runs on the host or a GPU. Yuan’s Windows and Linux SDK supports multiple instances and multiple cards, and DirectShow and V4L2 support opens it to vMix, OBS, Zoom and Teams as well as custom software. The SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI is the narrower 22 mm card with single-link input and loop-through, and the SC710N1 12G-SDI offers quad-link capture on PCIe.
Yuan lists support for Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10, Linux 4.8 or higher in 32-bit and 64-bit builds, Linux ARM and NVIDIA Jetson TX2, Nano, AGX Xavier and Xavier NX. The card is 30 mm wide rather than the usual 22 mm, so the host board needs an M.2 socket with room for a 3080 module.

Official Yuan UK Distributor
Things Embedded is an official Yuan UK distributor, supplying and integrating the SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI QL for UK embedded 4K and multi-camera projects. Within the Yuan range the SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI is the 22 mm single-link card with loop-through, and the SC710N1 12G-SDI brings quad-link capture to PCIe.
With quad-link input on an M.2 card, the SC710N1 M2 12G-SDI QL sits among our M.2 capture cards and our SDI video capture cards. Where one compact host must take a 4K SDI source or four HD cameras, this is the model to specify.
