Embedded vision and graphics systems that run for years often need ECC memory, but the enclosure may only take a small module. The SKY-MXM-A2000 is the NVIDIA RTX A2000 Embedded from Advantech, an MXM GPU module in the standard MXM 3.1 Type A format built on the Ampere GA107 GPU. It pairs 8 GB of ECC memory with four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs at 60 W, for graphics, video and AI work in systems with an MXM 3.1 slot.
The GPU has 2,560 CUDA cores, 20 RT Cores and 80 Tensor Cores, at a 1,117 MHz base and 1,612 MHz boost clock, for 8.25 TFLOPS FP32. Memory is 8 GB of GDDR6 with ECC on a 128-bit interface at 224 GB/s. GPUDirect RDMA and GPUDirect for Video are supported, which can shorten the data path between capture hardware and the GPU, and encode sessions are unlimited.
The SKY-MXM-A2000 connects over MXM 3.1 with PCI Express Gen3 x8 and draws up to 60 W. SKY-MXM-A2000-8SDA is the discrete build with four DisplayPort 1.4a outputs at up to 4K 120 Hz or 8K 60 Hz with DSC, and HDMI 2.0 at 4K 60 Hz through DP dual mode, while SKY-MXM-A2000-8SHA is the headless MS-Hybrid build. Cooling options are a standard fan cooler rated 0 °C to 40 °C, a high-CFM fan cooler rated 0 °C to 55 °C, or a heat spreader. Operation is 0 °C to 55 °C, dependent on CPU and cooler solution, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C.
We supply the SKY-MXM-A2000 tested, and fit, configure and burn-in test it in the MXM GPU computers we build, choosing the build and cooler for the enclosure. Advantech supports five years’ availability. The SKY-MXM-A1000 is the 4 GB module with three build options, and the SKY-MXM-2000A is the Ada Lovelace equivalent with 8 GB of ECC GDDR6.
