Advantech SKY-QUAD-A400-4 NVIDIA RTX A400 4GB Low-Profile Workstation Graphics Card with 4x Mini DisplayPort

The SKY-QUAD-A400-4 is the NVIDIA RTX A400 workstation graphics card from Advantech, an entry-level Ampere GPU with 4 GB of GDDR6 in a single-slot, low-profile 50 W card with four latching Mini DisplayPort 1.4a outputs. It suits small GPU computers driving several displays for HMI, control room and visualisation work.

  • Four Latching Mini DisplayPort: Four Mini DisplayPort 1.4a outputs with a latching mechanism, so display cables stay seated in cabinets and on vibrating equipment.
  • Multi-Display Output: Drives four 4096 x 2160 displays at 120 Hz, or two 7680 x 4320 displays at 30 Hz, from one card.
  • Low-Profile 50W Card: A single-slot, low-profile card at 50 W with no auxiliary power connector, with the low-profile bracket supplied in the accessory bag.
  • RTX A400 Ampere GPU: 768 CUDA cores, 24 third-generation Tensor Cores and six second-generation RT Cores, rated at 2.7 TFLOPS single precision.
  • 4GB GDDR6 and AV1 Decode: 4 GB of GDDR6 on a 64-bit interface at 96 GB/s, with AV1 decode support for current video streams.

SKY-QUAD-A400-4 Overview

Control rooms, operator stations and digital signage often need several high-resolution displays from a small computer, rather than raw compute. The SKY-QUAD-A400-4 is the NVIDIA RTX A400, an entry-level workstation graphics card supplied by Advantech in a single-slot, low-profile format that runs at 50 W. It is a good fit for compact GPU computers where four displays and a small power budget matter more than large AI models.

The NVIDIA Ampere GPU carries 768 CUDA cores, 24 third-generation Tensor Cores and six second-generation RT Cores, for 2.7 TFLOPS of single-precision performance. Memory is 4 GB of GDDR6 on a 64-bit interface at 96 GB/s, which suits display, visualisation and light compute work. CUDA, DirectCompute and OpenCL are supported for compute, with DirectX 12, Shader Model 6.6, OpenGL 4.6 and Vulkan 1.3 for graphics, and AV1 decode helps with current video streams.

The SKY-QUAD-A400-4 uses PCI Express 4.0 x8 and has no auxiliary power connector, so its 50 W maximum is drawn through the slot. Cooling is active, and the low-profile bracket comes in the accessory bag. Four Mini DisplayPort 1.4a outputs with a latching mechanism drive four 4096 x 2160 displays at 120 Hz, four at 5120 x 2880 at 60 Hz or two at 7680 x 4320 at 30 Hz, and the latches help keep cables seated in a cabinet.

We supply the SKY-QUAD-A400-4 tested, and we fit, configure and burn-in test it in the GPU computers and servers we build, with power, cooling and drivers checked as part of each build. For more GPU memory in the same format, the SKY-QUAD-A1000-8 carries 8 GB, and the SKY-QUAD-2000EA-16 moves to the RTX 2000E Ada with 16 GB of ECC memory at 50 W.
