Antaira LMP-2804G-4XS 28-Port 10G Managed Rackmount Industrial Switches with 24x PoE+ (720W), 4x 10G SFP+ and Extended Temperature Options

At the point where an industrial network gathers its cameras, controllers and remote cabinets, the switch has to route between VLANs, power the local devices and move a lot of traffic onto fast fibre. The Antaira LMP-2804G-4XS series does that from one 19-inch rack unit: a Layer 3 managed industrial PoE+ switch with 24 powered ports and four 10G SFP+ uplinks.

Every LMP-2804G-4XS has twenty-four 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at/af PoE+ at up to 30 W each, sharing a 720 W budget. Four SFP+ slots run at 1, 2.5 or 10 Gbps with single-mode or multi-mode modules. Switching runs on a 128 Gbps fabric with a 32K MAC table and a 32 Mbit buffer. Layer 3 routing covers static routes, OSPFv2/v3, RIPv2/RIPng and VRRPv2/v3, and ITU-T G.8032 ERPS, STP, RSTP, MSTP and LACP handle redundancy. PoE scheduling, output limits and alive check manage the ports, and RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, ACLs and IP Source Guard secure access.

The series comes in two temperature grades. The LMP-2804G-4XS is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 65 °C for control rooms and heated equipment rooms. The LMP-2804G-4XS-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated buildings and shelters. Within the Antaira range, the LMP-2804G-4XS-24 series takes 12 to 55 V DC, the LMP-2812G-4X8S series trades eight PoE ports for eight more fibre slots, and the LMX-2804G-4XS series keeps the Layer 3 design without PoE.

Both LMP-2804G-4XS models run fanless in an IP30 metal case for a 19-inch rack, draw 40.5 W and carry Antaira’s 5-year warranty, with a relay contact and redundant inputs protected against overload current and reverse polarity. Antaira lists FCC, CE, UL 61010-1 and UL Class 1 Division 2 approvals and states NDAA and TAA compliance, with a Telcordia MTBF of 142,643 hours for the 48 V models. Antaira describes the design for harsh industrial conditions, and the Class 1 Division 2 approval suits racks in hazardous locations where routing, PoE and 10G fibre are needed together. Modbus TCP lets SCADA read port and power status straight from the switch, and dual image protection with USB configuration backup reduces the risk around firmware updates and unit swaps.
