The LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt is the standard temperature build of the Antaira LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt series: a 32-port Layer 3 rack mount switch with 24 SFP and four 10G SFP+ slots, four 802.3bt PoE++ ports and a 360 W budget, rated -10 °C to 65 °C. It suits site core and control rooms.

LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt Overview

The point where dozens of fibre runs meet, in a control room, a substation or a site’s main comms cabinet, needs routing between subnets, 10G uplinks and somewhere to power the cameras and access points in the room itself. The LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt is the standard temperature build in the Antaira LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt series: a 32-port Layer 3 managed switch for 19-inch rack mounting, rated -10 °C to 65 °C.

It has 24 1G SFP slots and four 1G/2.5G/10G SFP+ slots for fibre, plus four 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3bt PoE++, which Antaira rates at up to 100 W per port, from a 360 W total budget, with 802.3af and 802.3at devices also supported. Switching is store-and-forward on a 136 Gbps fabric with a 32K MAC table, a 32 Mbit buffer and 9.6 KB jumbo frames. Layer 3 routing covers static routes, OSPFv2/v3, RIPv2, RIPng and VRRPv2/v3, alongside VLANs, QoS, IGMP and MLD snooping, LACP and LLDP. Ring redundancy uses ITU-T G.8032 ERPS with recovery in under 50 ms, and security includes RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, ACLs and IP source guard.

Power arrives on 48 to 55 V DC redundant inputs on a terminal block, and the switch draws 35 W before PoE loads. PoE management includes power budget protection, PoE alive check, PoE output scheduling and Antaira’s Persistent PoE. A relay contact rated 24 V DC, 1 A, overload current and reverse polarity protection are built in, the switch runs fanless with high EFT and ESD protection, and Antaira quotes an MTBF of 69,654 hours to Telcordia SR-332. Set-up is through the web console, CLI, Telnet or SNMP, with an RS232 console port on RJ45 and USB configuration backup.

The LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt sits in an IP30 metal case for 19-inch rack mounting. It carries FCC and CE marks, is RoHS, TAA and NDAA compliant and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMP-3228G-4X24S-bt-T is the same switch rated -40 °C to 75 °C, and the LMX-3228G-4X24S is the non-PoE equivalent.
