Antaira LMX-0802-ST-S3 8-Port Fast Ethernet Managed Industrial Ethernet Switch with 2x 100FX ST Single-mode Fibre

The LMX-0802-ST-S3 is the ST single-mode, standard temperature build of the Antaira LMX-0802 series: an eight-port managed switch with six Fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and two 100FX ST fibre ports, rated -10 °C to 65 °C, with G.8032 ERPS and 802.1X. It suits long runs to remote outstations.

LMX-0802-ST-S3 Overview

Remote outstations on pipelines, water networks and ITS routes can sit a long way from the control room, which makes single-mode fibre the natural link. Where an existing fibre plant is terminated in ST connectors, matching them avoids re-terminating or patching through adaptors. The LMX-0802-ST-S3 is the ST, single-mode, standard temperature build in the Antaira LMX-0802 series: an eight-port managed switch with two 100Base-FX fibre ports, rated -10 °C to 65 °C.

It has six 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports with auto-negotiation and two 100Base-FX single-mode fibre ports with ST connectors and fixed optics. Switching is store-and-forward on a 1.6 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and a 4 Mbit buffer. The Layer 2+ firmware covers port, MAC, protocol and private VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping, LACP, LLDP, RMON, sFlow, DDMI and Modbus TCP, with static routes and NAT. Security includes 802.1X, RADIUS, TACACS+, ACLs, IP source guard and ARP inspection. The two fibre ports suit an ITU-T G.8032 ERPS ring with recovery in under 50 ms, and STP, RSTP and MSTP are supported.

Power arrives on a 12 to 48 V DC input on a terminal block, and the switch draws 15 W. A power lost warning and relay trigger drive a relay contact rated 24 V DC, 1 A, and the switch can also send automatic warnings by e-mail. Overload current and reverse polarity protection are built in, and Antaira gives the switch high EFT and ESD protection with EMS testing to IEC 61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8. Set-up is through the web console, Telnet or CLI, with USB configuration backup.

The LMX-0802-ST-S3 sits in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail or wall mounting. It is UL 61010-1 certified, carries FCC and CE marks, is RoHS compliant and comes with Antaira’s 5-year warranty. The LMX-0802-ST-S3-T is the same switch rated -40 °C to 75 °C, the LMX-0802-ST-M uses multi-mode fibre and the LMX-0802-S3 has SC connectors.
