Antaira LMX-1002G-SFP 10-Port Gigabit Managed Industrial Switches with 2x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

On oil and gas sites and traffic networks, the approvals list decides which switches can be considered before anyone looks at the port count. The Antaira LMX-1002G-SFP series is listed as UL Class 1 Division 2, ATEX Zone 2, UL 61010-1 and NEMA TS2 certified, and pairs those approvals with eight managed gigabit copper ports and two SFP slots in an IP30 metal DIN rail case.

Both models share one design. The eight 10/100/1000Base-TX RJ45 ports support auto MDI/MDI-X, and the two 100/1000 dual-rate SFP slots take the fibre module that suits the run. Switching is store-and-forward on a 20 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and jumbo frames up to 9.6 KB. The Layer 2 managed firmware covers IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, QoS, IGMP v1/v2 snooping for up to 256 groups, LACP, LLDP, RMON, port mirroring, DHCP Option 66/67/82, Modbus TCP and 802.1X. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS recovers a ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP available. Redundant 12 to 48 V DC inputs, a CPU watchdog and a 15 W draw complete the design.

Choose by temperature. The LMX-1002G-SFP is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for heated or indoor cabinets. The LMX-1002G-SFP-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated wellhead, compressor station and roadside cabinets. For two more copper ports the Antaira LMX-1202G-SFP series carries the same approvals, and the LMX-1002G-10G-SFP moves the fibre slots to 10G SFP+.

Antaira names power and utility, water and wastewater, oil, gas and mining, factory automation, security surveillance and ITS as typical applications for the LMX-1002G-SFP series, with high EFT and ESD protection, overload and reverse polarity protection built in. Each case is tested for shock to IEC 60068-2-27, vibration to IEC 60068-2-6 and free fall to IEC 60068-2-32, with storage from -40 °C to 85 °C and 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity. Each switch is managed through the web console, Telnet or CLI, with an RS232 console port on RJ45, USB 2.0 configuration backup and e-mail or relay warnings. The series carries FCC and CE marks and Antaira’s 5-year warranty, and we can pre-configure IP addressing, VLANs and ring settings before it ships.
