Antaira LMX-1204G-SFP-T 12-Port Gigabit Managed Industrial Ethernet Switch with 4x SFP and -40 to 75 °C

Unheated outdoor cabinets in power and utility, oil and gas and ITS networks are where a fibre ring often has to run, and where winter temperatures rule out standard switches. The LMX-1204G-SFP-T is the extended temperature build of the Antaira LMX-1204G-SFP series: a 12-port managed industrial Ethernet switch with eight gigabit RJ45 ports and four SFP slots, rated -40 °C to 75 °C.

Eight 10/100/1000T RJ45 ports connect cameras, controllers and HMIs at gigabit speed, and four 100/1000 SFP slots take single-mode or multi-mode transceivers, so reach follows the module chosen. Switching is store-and-forward on a 24 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and 9.6K jumbo frames. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS restores a broken ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP for other layouts, and the firmware covers VLAN, QoS, IGMP v1/v2/v3, LACP trunking and port mirroring.

Power arrives on a 12 to 48 V DC input and the LMX-1204G-SFP-T draws 15 W, with overload current and reverse polarity protection built in. Static routing, DHCP option 66/67/82 and IPv4/IPv6 sit alongside the Layer 2 feature set, and Modbus TCP lets SCADA software read switch status directly. A 24 V DC, 1 A relay output and e-mail alerts flag exceptions, while 802.1X, SNMP v3, HTTPS and SSH/SSL secure access. We can pre-configure IP addressing, VLANs and ring settings on request.

The LMX-1204G-SFP-T operates from -40 °C to 75 °C and stores from -40 °C to 85 °C, so it can sit in an enclosure without a heater. It uses an IP30 metal housing for DIN rail or wall mounting, with IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration listed. Approvals include CE, FCC, RoHS, UL 61010-1, UL Class 1 Division 2 and NEMA TS2, backed by Antaira’s 5-year warranty.
