Antaira LMX-1204G-SFP 12-Port Gigabit Managed Industrial Ethernet Switches with 4x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

A fibre ring through a site often needs two SFP slots just to close the loop, which leaves nothing spare for a link out to a remote cabinet. The Antaira LMX-1204G-SFP series answers that with four fibre slots alongside eight gigabit copper ports, in a managed industrial Ethernet switch sized for a DIN rail.

Each LMX-1204G-SFP has eight 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports and four 100/1000 SFP slots that take single-mode or multi-mode transceivers, so reach follows the module chosen. Switching is store-and-forward on a 24 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and 9.6K jumbo frames. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS restores a broken ring in under 50 ms, with STP, RSTP and MSTP for other layouts, and the firmware covers VLAN, QoS, IGMP, LACP, port mirroring and Modbus TCP. Power is 12 to 48 V DC at 15 W, with reverse polarity and overload protection and a 24 V DC, 1 A relay output. Firmware extras include RADIUS and TACACS+ authentication, ACLs, IP source guard, DHCP snooping, LLDP, dual image protection and USB configuration backup, which help keep a larger estate of switches consistent.

The LMX-1204G-SFP is the standard temperature build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the LMX-1204G-SFP-T extends that to -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated enclosures. Both add static routing to the Layer 2 feature set and list UL 61010-1, UL Class 1 Division 2 and NEMA TS2. The LMX-1204G-SFP-T-CC is the conformal coated extended temperature build, with ATEX Zone 2 added to its listed approvals. The LMX-1204G-SFP-T-BABA is made in the USA and Build America, Buy America Act compliant, a Light Layer 3 switch with static routes, redundant power inputs and a quoted MTBF of 536,427 hours.
