Antaira LMP-1204G-SFP 12-Port Gigabit Managed Industrial Ethernet Switches with 8x PoE+, 4x SFP and Extended Temperature Options

A cabinet that powers cameras or sensors on site and sends their traffic a long way back to the control room needs three things from its switch: PoE, fibre and a ring that heals itself quickly. The Antaira LMP-1204G-SFP series puts all three in one DIN-rail unit, a 12-port Layer 2 managed industrial PoE+ switch for remote SCADA and control networks, including sites where hazardous location approvals are part of the specification.

Every LMP-1204G-SFP shares the same design. Eight 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports support IEEE 802.3at/af PoE+ at up to 30 W per port, and four 100/1000 dual-rate SFP slots accept single-mode or multi-mode modules, so the fibre type and reach follow the transceiver chosen. Store-and-forward switching runs on a 24 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC table and 9.6K jumbo frames. ITU-T G.8032 ERPS recovers the ring in under 50 ms, and STP, RSTP and MSTP, LACP, 802.1Q VLANs, QoS, IGMP snooping and Modbus TCP complete the managed feature set, with 802.1X, SNMPv3, HTTPS and SSH for security. A PoE ping alarm can power-cycle a port whose device stops responding.

The series comes in two temperature grades. The LMP-1204G-SFP is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C for heated or indoor cabinets. The LMP-1204G-SFP-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C for unheated outdoor enclosures. Where some devices need more than 30 W, the Antaira LMP-1204G-SFP-bt series keeps the same port count with four 90 W 802.3bt ports, and the Antaira LMX-1204G-SFP series offers the same managed Layer 2 design without PoE for cabinets where every device has its own supply.

Power comes in on redundant 48 to 55 V DC inputs through a removable 6-contact terminal block, with overload current and reverse polarity protection, and a relay output and e-mail alerts report faults. Both LMP-1204G-SFP models sit in an IP30 metal case for DIN-rail or optional wall mounting and carry Antaira’s 5-year warranty. Antaira lists FCC, CE, UL 61010-1, UL Class 1 Division 2, NEMA TS2 and ATEX Zone 2 approvals, which suits the series to power and utility, water treatment, oil and gas, factory automation, ITS and security surveillance networks.
