Antaira LNP-0501-24 5-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged Industrial Ethernet Switches with 4x PoE+, 1x 100FX SC Multi-mode Fibre, 12-36V DC Input and Extended Temperature Options

A mobile surveillance system or a remote field cabinet may have nothing more than a 12 or 24 V DC battery, yet its cameras still need PoE and a link back to a network that may be kilometres away. The Antaira LNP-0501-24 series handles both: an industrial unmanaged PoE switch with four PoE+ ports and one fibre uplink that runs from a 12 to 36 V DC supply.

Every LNP-0501-24 shares the same design. An internal voltage booster lifts the 12 to 36 V DC input to the 48 V DC PoE output, so four 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports can deliver IEEE 802.3at PoE+ at up to 30 W per port, and one 100Base-FX port at 1310 nm carries the uplink. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward on a 1.0 Gbps backplane with a 2K MAC address table and auto MDI/MDI-X. Redundant inputs on a 6-pin terminal block, consumption of up to 145 W at full load, reverse polarity and overload current protection, surge protection to 2,000 V DC, ESD protection to 6,000 V DC and a power failure relay are common to all models.

The models differ in fibre type, connector and temperature. Multi-mode builds reach up to 2 km: the LNP-0501-M-24 and LNP-0501-M-24-T use SC connectors, and the LNP-0501-ST-M-24 and LNP-0501-ST-M-24-T use ST. Single-mode builds reach up to 30 km: the LNP-0501-S3-24 and LNP-0501-S3-24-T use SC, and the LNP-0501-ST-S3-24 and LNP-0501-ST-S3-24-T use ST. Models without -T are rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the -T models -40 °C to 75 °C. The LNP-0501 series offers the same choice on a 48 to 55 V DC input.

Antaira lists the LNP-0501-24 series as UL Class 1 Division 2 and UL 508 certified, with FCC and CE marks and RoHS compliance, tests it to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration, and houses it in an IP30 metal case for DIN rail or wall. All models carry Antaira’s 5-year warranty. Antaira names mobile surveillance on battery power alongside security surveillance, traffic monitoring, oil and gas, mining, utility, water treatment and factory automation sites that need a 24 V DC power source.
