Antaira LNP-0802C-SFP 8-Port Gigabit Unmanaged Industrial PoE Switches with 6x PoE+ (180W), 2x Combo SFP and Extended Temperature Options

Uplink choices often change late in a project, when a cabinet planned for copper turns out to need fibre, or a fibre run is swapped for a short copper link. The Antaira LNP-0802C-SFP series keeps both open: industrial unmanaged PoE+ switches with six Fast Ethernet PoE+ ports for local devices and two gigabit combo ports, each usable as RJ45 or SFP, so the uplink can be decided on site rather than at order.

Every LNP-0802C-SFP switch has six 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3at PoE+ at up to 30 W each, plus two gigabit combo ports, each usable as RJ45 or SFP, so each uplink can be copper or a 100/1000 fibre transceiver. Switching is unmanaged and store-and-forward on a 5.2 Gbps fabric with an 8K MAC address table, 9.6 KB jumbo frames and a 4 Mbit memory buffer, so the switches pass traffic and power devices with no set-up. Power arrives on 48 to 55 V DC redundant inputs on a removable terminal block. The 180 W PoE budget covers all six PoE+ ports at the full 30 W together. One relay output gives a power failure warning, and antaira builds in high EFT and ESD protection against unregulated voltage, with reverse polarity and overload current protection on the input.

The series comes in two temperature builds. The LNP-0802C-SFP is the standard build, rated -10 °C to 70 °C, for heated or indoor cabinets. The LNP-0802C-SFP-T is the extended temperature build, rated -40 °C to 75 °C, for unheated outdoor enclosures and other sites that see hard frosts. Both share the same ports, power input and PoE budget. For eight PoE+ ports with the same combo uplinks, the LNP-1002C-SFP series is the larger series.

Antaira designs the series for rugged, harsh industrial environments. The LNP-0802C-SFP series is housed in an IP30 metal case for DIN-rail mounting, with wall-mount hardware included, and is rated for shock to IEC 60068-2-27 and vibration to IEC 60068-2-6. Antaira lists the series as UL Class 1 Division 2 and UL 61010-1 certified, with CE and FCC marks and RoHS compliance, and both builds carry Antaira’s 5-year warranty. In practice, the choice between the two builds comes down to the coldest temperature the installation will see.
