Antaira LNX-800A-T 8-Port Fast Ethernet Unmanaged DIN Rail Switch with -40 to 75 °C

Outdoor field cabinets often hold more networked devices than a five-port switch can serve, and they are rarely heated. The LNX-800A-T is the extended temperature model in the Antaira LNX-800A series, rated -40 °C to 75 °C: an eight-port Fast Ethernet unmanaged DIN rail switch for those cabinets.

All eight 10/100Base-TX RJ45 ports auto-negotiate speed and duplex and support auto MDI/MDI-X. Store-and-forward switching runs on a 1.0 Gbps fabric with a 2K MAC address table, 1.488 Mpps packet throughput and IEEE 802.3x back pressure flow control. The switch is unmanaged, so it goes into the cabinet with no set-up, and a spare can be swapped in by a site technician without any configuration file or laptop.

Redundant inputs on a removable 6-contact terminal block accept 12 to 48 V DC or 24 V AC, with reverse polarity and overload current protection, and the switch draws 5 W. Surge protection to 2,000 V DC and ESD protection to 6,000 V DC guard the ports, and one relay output alerts maintainers to a power failure or port break, which helps at remote sites where a fault could otherwise go unnoticed for days.

The IP30 metal case mounts on a DIN rail or a wall and is rated to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-6 vibration. Antaira lists the LNX-800A-T as UL Class 1 Division 2 certified, with UL 60950-1, UL 61010-1, FCC, CE and RoHS, and covers it with its 5-year warranty. The LNX-800A is the standard build rated -10 °C to 70 °C, and the LNX-800A-T-CC adds conformal coating to the circuit boards for damp or corrosive air.
