The QMP-2820G-4X16S-bt-T is a 28-port managed rackmount industrial switch with eight 802.3bt RJ45 ports at up to 90 W each, a 500 W PoE budget, 16 gigabit SFP slots and four 10G SFP+ uplinks, rated -40 °C to 85 °C in a 1U case for fibre aggregation in harsh equipment rooms.

QMP-2820G-4X16S-bt-T Overview

A head-end cabinet that collects fibre from many remote sites, powers several high-draw devices and stays on a redundant ring usually ends up with three boxes. The QMP-2820G-4X16S-bt-T from Antaira puts that into one 28-port Layer 2 managed switch in a 1U 19-inch rack case, rated -40 °C to 85 °C for unconditioned equipment rooms and cabinets.

It has eight 10/100/1000 RJ45 ports with IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ at up to 90 W each, also serving 802.3af and 802.3at devices, within a total budget of 500 W at 55 V DC. 16 100/1000 SFP slots gather fibre links, and four 1G/2.5G/10G SFP+ slots provide uplinks to the core. Switching capacity is 160 Gbps with a 32K MAC address table, and management covers 4,096 VLANs, QinQ, eight QoS queues, IGMP snooping, LACP, LLDP-MED, port mirroring and 802.1X with RADIUS and TACACS+, over SNMPv3, HTTPS or SSH.

ITU-T G.8032 ERPS recovers in under 20 ms across up to 64 rings, alongside STP, RSTP and MSTP. Link and Service OAM, NTP server and client, SyncE G.8261, OpenDNP3, PROFINET Conformance Class A, EtherNet/IP and IEEE 1588 v2 PTP are supported. Redundant 36 to 60 V DC inputs feed the switch, which draws 50 W without PoE, with 45 to 57 V DC needed for PoE++, and 4 kV ITU K.44 surge protection guards the RJ45 lines.

The IP30 metal case fits a standard 19-inch rack, with an MTBF of 451,000 hours. Antaira lists CE and FCC marks, EN 62368-1 safety and EU EMC and LVD compliance, and covers the QMP-2820G-4X16S-bt-T with its 5-year warranty. We can pre-configure IP addressing, VLANs and ring settings where you ask. The QMP-1204G-2Q2S-bt-T suits smaller DIN-rail cabinets, and the LMP-2812G-4X8S offers more PoE+ ports with fewer SFP slots.
