Arestech BPC-3112-1A1 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U Mini Industrial PC with 4x COM and Dual 2.5GbE

Small cabinets on conveyors, packing machines and transport kiosks rarely have room for a full-size box PC, yet the machines inside still expect several serial ports and fast networking. The BPC-3112-1A1 is the single model in the Arestech BPC-3112 series, a mini industrial PC on the Intel Core i5-1235U with four RS-232/422/485 ports, two 2.5GbE ports and two HDMI outputs, for edge computing, factory automation, automation machines and transportation management.

The Core i5-1235U is a 15 W, ten-core, twelve-thread 12th Gen Intel processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, which suits HMI clients, protocol gateways and data logging. Dual-channel DDR4 3200 non-ECC memory sits in two SO-DIMM sockets up to 64 GB, and a TPM 2.0 module is optional.

On the BPC-3112-1A1, the four serial ports are each RS-232/422/485, one at the rear and three at the front, and two Intel I226V 2.5GbE ports carry machine and plant traffic. Two HDMI 2.0 outputs reach 4096 x 2160, four USB 3.2 Gen2 and two USB 2.0 ports take peripherals, and a four-in, four-out GPIO connector, line-out and mic-in complete the I/O. Storage is an M.2 2280 M-Key slot with PCIe x4 or SATA III plus a 2.5″ SATA bay with RAID 0/1, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot with a Micro-SIM holder and an M.2 E-Key slot take optional 4G and Wi-Fi modules through two antenna holes.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a two-pin terminal block with AT and ATX modes. The mini industrial PC runs fanless from -20 °C to 60 °C, is tested under IEC 60068 for vibration and shock, carries CE and FCC Class A marks and wall mounts. We supply the BPC-3112-1A1 configured, with Windows 11 or Linux installed, and tested. Where the cabinet has room for a larger box with a flexible I/O window, the SB-5612-1A1 uses the same processor, and the SB-5612-1A2 adds 16 isolated inputs and 16 isolated outputs.
