Arestech BPC-5097-1A1 Intel Processor N97 (Alder Lake-N) Rugged Mini PC with M12 Connectors and Isolated I/O

On haul trucks, agricultural and forestry machines and transport vehicles, the computer often has to read switches and drive relays as well as log data and talk to the network. The Arestech BPC-5097-1A1 is the Intel Processor N97 model in the BPC-5097 series series, a rugged mini PC designed for vehicle-mounted and mobile installations, with M12 connectors and 32 channels of isolated digital I/O built in.

The BPC-5097-1A1 runs an Intel Processor N97 (Alder Lake-N) at up to 3.6 GHz with Intel UHD Graphics and Intel PTT firmware TPM. One DDR5 4800 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 32 GB. Storage combines an M.2 M-Key 2242/2280 slot with PCIe Gen3 x1 and SATA and a 2.5″ SATA SSD bay. Windows 11 IoT and Linux are supported.

Two GbE ports on Intel I210-AT controllers and three USB 2.0 ports use M12 connectors, and display output is one lockable HDMI 2.0b at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. Four COM ports (one RS-232/422/485 and three RS-232 with 5 V/12 V/RI power) serve controllers, and 16 isolated DI and 16 isolated DO channels handle machine signals. An M.2 E-Key 2230 slot takes optional Wi-Fi, and an M.2 B-Key 3042/3052 slot with SIM takes an optional 4G module. For more compute on the same M12 approach, the BPC-5012 carries a Core i5-1235U, and the BPC-5064 uses a Celeron J6412.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC through a DC jack or two-pin terminal block, with AT and ATX modes. The fanless aluminium and SECC chassis runs from -20 °C to 60 °C, is tested to 5 Grms vibration and 50 G shock, carries CE and FCC Class A marks and wall mounts. An M12 LAN cable is optional. We supply the BPC-5097-1A1 configured, with the OS installed, and tested before it ships.
