Arestech BPC-5012 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U Rugged Embedded Computer with M12 Connectors and 4x COM

Mining haul trucks, agricultural and forestry machines and transport fleets shake loose ordinary connectors, so a computer for that work needs locking I/O as well as fanless cooling. The Arestech BPC-5012 is a rugged embedded computer designed for vehicle-mounted and mobile installations, with M12 connectors on its network and USB ports and a lockable HDMI output. It is the Core i5 sibling to the BPC-5064 and the BPC-5097-1A1.

The BPC-5012 runs a 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U at up to 4.4 GHz. Two DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM sockets take up to 64 GB in dual channel, enough for multi-camera recording, fleet software and local databases. Storage combines an M.2 M-Key 2280 slot with PCIe Gen4 x4 and SATA and a 2.5″ SATA III bay, and an onboard TPM 2.0 is optional. Windows 11 IoT and Linux are supported.

Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226-V controllers and two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports use M12 connectors, and display output is one lockable HDMI 2.0 at up to 4096 x 2160. Four RS-232/422/485 ports serve controllers and sensors, one with 5 V/12 V/RI power. An M.2 E-Key 2230 slot takes optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and a full-size mini-PCIe slot with SIM takes an optional 4G module. Arestech also lists optional 16 isolated DI and 16 isolated DO channels. For lighter workloads the BPC-5064 keeps the M12 layout on a Celeron J6412.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC through a DC jack or two-pin terminal block, with AT and ATX modes. The fanless aluminium and SECC chassis runs from -20 °C to 60 °C, is tested to 5 Grms vibration and 50 G shock, carries CE and FCC Class A marks and wall mounts. We supply the BPC-5012 configured, with the OS installed, and tested before it ships.
