Arestech PPC-1012 10.1" WXGA Fanless Panel PCs with Intel Core i5-1235U and Front IP54

Machine builders who mount the HMI on the equipment itself need a slim touch computer that fits beside the guarding, reads clearly under factory lighting and shrugs off dust and splashes at the front. The Arestech PPC-1012 series is built for that job: a family of 10.1″ fanless panel PCs on the Intel Core i5-1235U, with an SECC steel front panel sealed to IP54 and an aluminium back cover.

The 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U runs at up to 4.40 GHz (a Core i3-1215UE is offered as an option), with two SO-DIMM sockets for dual-channel DDR4 3200 memory up to 64 GB. That gives headroom for SCADA and MES clients, HMI runtimes with several windows open and local data logging. Storage is an internal 2.5″ SSD plus an M.2 2280 M-Key socket with PCIe Gen 4 x4 or SATA, firmware TPM is built in with a TPM 2.0 module as an option, and the operating system can be Windows 11 IoT or Professional, or Linux. Every PPC-1012 has its connections along the bottom edge: two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226-V controllers to keep plant and machine networks apart, two HDMI 2.0 outputs at up to 4096 x 2160, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and one RS-232/422/485 port, with two more serial ports available as an option for PLCs and serial instruments. A full-size Mini-PCIe socket with a SIM slot takes an optional 4G LTE module, and an M.2 2230 E-Key socket takes an optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module.

The PPC-1012 series offers the PPC-1012PW with projected capacitive touch, a 7 Mohs surface and 90% transparency for bare-finger use, and the PPC-1012RW with 5-wire resistive touch, a 3 Mohs surface and 80% transparency, which typically suits gloves or a stylus. Both carry the same 10.1 inch WXGA LCD at 1280 x 800 in 16:10, with 500 nits brightness, an 800:1 contrast ratio and 170° viewing angles both ways. The PPC-1064 series offers the same 10.1″ screens on the Intel Celeron J6412 for lighter HMI and kiosk work on a 12 to 36 V input.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a 2-pin terminal block with AT and ATX modes, and an AC adapter is available as an option. The PPC-1012 panel PCs are fanless, operate from -20 °C to 60 °C at 10 to 95% humidity, non-condensing, and are tested to IEC 60068-2-64 at 1.5 Grms vibration and IEC 60068-2-27 at 15 G shock, with CE and FCC Class A marks. They mount on VESA or into a panel cut-out, and Arestech lists HMI, machine-mounted, kiosk and industrial automation applications.
