Arestech PPC-1512R 15″ Resistive Fanless Panel PC with Intel Core i5-1235U and Front IP54

Line-side HMIs and SCADA clients need a screen that reads clearly at arm’s length and a computer that runs without attention. For gloved hands or a stylus, pressure-based 5-wire resistive touch is usually the safer choice. The PPC-1512R is the 5-wire resistive build in the Arestech PPC-1512 series: a 15″ fanless panel PC on the Intel Core i5-1235U with an XGA display and a front panel sealed to IP54.

The 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1235U runs at up to 4.40 GHz with dual-channel DDR4 3200 up to 64 GB, enough for SCADA clients and HMI runtimes with several windows open. Storage is a 2.5″ SSD plus an M.2 2280 socket with PCIe Gen 4 x4 or SATA. On the PPC-1512R, the 15 inch display is an XGA LCD at 1024 x 768 in 4:3, with 350 nits brightness, a 2500:1 contrast ratio and 176° viewing angles. The 5-wire resistive touch screen has a 3 Mohs surface and 80% transparency.

Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226-V controllers keep plant and machine networks apart, alongside two HDMI 2.0 outputs, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and one RS-232/422/485 port, with two more serial ports as an option. A full-size Mini-PCIe socket with a SIM slot and an M.2 E-Key socket take optional 4G LTE and Wi-Fi modules. The PPC-1512P is the same build with projected capacitive touch, and the PPC-1564R pairs the same 15″ screen with the Intel Celeron J6412 for lighter HMI and kiosk work on a 12 to 36 V input.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a 2-pin terminal block with AT and ATX modes. The PPC-1512R is fanless, runs from -20 °C to 60 °C and is tested to IEC 60068-2-64 vibration and IEC 60068-2-27 shock, with CE and FCC Class A marks. Its SECC steel front panel is rated IP54 against dust and splashing water, and it mounts on VESA or in a panel cut-out. We supply it configured, with Windows 11 IoT or Linux installed, and tested.
