Arestech PPC-Z152P-B6A1 15″ PCAP Stainless Steel Panel PC with Intel Celeron J1900 and 10 M12 COM Ports

Some washdown stations run a weigher, a label printer, a scanner and a PLC from one screen, and each wants its own serial port. The PPC-Z152P-B6A1 is the Arestech stainless steel panel PC built for that: a 15 inch PCAP computer on an Intel Celeron J1900 with ten COM ports on sealed M12 connectors, in 316 grade stainless steel sealed to IP66 and IP69K as a whole unit.

The Intel Celeron J1900 is a quad-core processor running at up to 2.0 GHz, with one DDR3L-1333 SO-DIMM socket for up to 8 GB and an internal 2.5-inch SATA bay, which suits serial-heavy HMIs that talk to weighers, printers, scanners and PLCs on one line, with operating system support for Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows 7 Pro, Windows 10 IoT or Professional and Linux. The display is a 15 inch 4:3 XGA LCD at 1024 x 768 and 300 nits with a 600:1 contrast ratio and 160° viewing angles, and the projected capacitive touch screen has a 7 Mohs surface, 90% transparency and a touch on/off button so it can be cleaned without registering input.

Connections include one GbE port on a Realtek RTL8111G controller, two USB 2.0 ports and ten serial ports, nine RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485 on M12 connectors. A full-size Mini-PCIe socket, shared with mSATA, and a half-size Mini-PCIe socket take optional wireless modules with IP66 antennas. Within the same stainless family, the PPC-Z153 is the 15 inch model with two GbE ports, USB 3.0 and VGA, and the PPC-Z157 offers Intel Core i5-7200U or i3-7100U compute.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on an M12 connector with AT and ATX modes. The PPC-Z152P-B6A1 is fanless, operates from -20 °C to 60 °C at 5 to 95% humidity with extended-temperature memory and storage fitted, and is shock-tested to 20 G under IEC 60068-2-27. It measures 400 x 320 x 66.9 mm, weighs 7.42 kg and mounts on 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm VESA.
