ASRock Industrial iBOX-1335UE/D4 Intel Core i5-1335UE 13th Gen Fanless NUC Computer with Dual 2.5GbE

When a business runs dozens of kiosks or cabinet PCs across several sites, the cost is rarely the hardware. It is the site visit when a unit hangs. The iBOX-1335UE/D4 from ASRock Industrial addresses that with Intel vPro and AMT, so a unit can be powered on, reset or recovered over the network. It is the Core i5 model in the iBOX 1300/D4 series of fanless embedded PCs.

The processor is an Intel Core i5-1335UE, a 13th Gen Raptor Lake-P part with two performance cores and eight efficient cores. Intel Iris Xe Graphics gives more headroom than the i3 model for multi-screen content and browser-based dashboards across HDMI 2.0b and three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs, two over USB-C, each at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. Memory is up to 64 GB of dual channel DDR4 3200 in two SO-DIMM sockets.

Two Intel I226LM 2.5GbE ports carry the network, with AMT and vPro supported on this model. A USB4/Thunderbolt 4 port, five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and a DB9 RS-232 port connect touch screens, readers and serial equipment. Storage is an NVMe SSD on M.2 Key M with PCIe Gen4 x4, plus a SATA3 port, and an M.2 Key E socket takes a wireless module. Input is 12 to 19 V DC with AT or ATX power-on.

The iBOX-1335UE/D4 runs from 0 °C to 40 °C with no fan to clog or fail, and the 1.6 kg aluminium case can be VESA or wall mounted, with DIN rail available by request. TPM 2.0, a hardware watchdog and CE and FCC compliance come as standard. The iBOX-1365UE/D4 keeps vPro and moves to a Core i7, while the iBOX-1335UE/D4 is the fanless embedded PC that balances managed operation with cost.
