ASRock Industrial iBOX-1335UE/D5 Intel Core i5-1335UE Fanless NUC Digital Signage Player with 2x 2.5GbE and USB4

For a retail chain or a transport operator, a blank screen at a remote site often means a costly visit for a simple restart. The iBOX-1335UE/D5 from ASRock Industrial is built to avoid that: it supports Intel vPro with AMT, so a hung unit can be powered on, reset or reimaged over the network. It is the Core i5 model in the iBOX 1300/D5 series of fanless digital signage players.

The processor is an Intel Core i5-1335UE, a 13th Gen Raptor Lake-P part with two performance cores and eight efficient cores. Intel Iris Xe Graphics gives more headroom than the i3 model for HTML5 content, live data feeds and several video streams at once. Memory is up to 32 GB of dual channel DDR5 4800 in two 262-pin SO-DIMM sockets.

Four display outputs are available: HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4a, a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4a and a USB4/Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort 2.1, each at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. Networking is an Intel I226LM 2.5GbE port with vPro and a second Intel I226V 2.5GbE port. Five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and a DB9 RS-232 port connect touch overlays, cameras and screen controls, and storage is an NVMe SSD on M.2 Key M plus a SATA3 port. Power is 12 to 19 V DC with AT or ATX power-on.

The iBOX-1335UE/D5 runs from 0 °C to 40 °C with no fan, and the 1.6 kg aluminium case can be VESA or wall mounted behind a screen, with DIN rail available by request. TPM 2.0, a hardware watchdog and CE and FCC Class A compliance come as standard. The iBOX-1315UE/D5 covers simpler scheduled content, while the iBOX-1335UE/D5 is the digital signage player for managed screen networks.
