ASRock Industrial iBOX-1315UE/D5 Intel Core i3-1315UE Fanless NUC Digital Signage Player with Four Display Outputs

Most signage screens show menus, timetables or wayfinding maps on a schedule. That work needs reliable multi-screen output more than raw compute, and it needs to keep running in a closed enclosure behind the display. The iBOX-1315UE/D5 from ASRock Industrial is the entry model in the iBOX 1300/D5 series, a fanless digital signage player that keeps the four outputs of the range at a lower processor tier.

It runs an Intel Core i3-1315UE, a 13th Gen Raptor Lake-P processor with two performance cores and four efficient cores, with Intel UHD Graphics for video decode and playback. Two 262-pin SO-DIMM sockets take up to 32 GB of dual channel DDR5 4800, and the extra bandwidth over DDR4 helps integrated graphics when several screens play video at once.

Display outputs are HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4a, a USB-C port with DisplayPort 1.4a and a USB4/Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort 2.1, each at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. Two 2.5GbE ports, one Intel I226LM and one I226V, can separate the content network from a local screen or sensor network. Five USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, two USB 2.0 ports and a DB9 RS-232 port connect touch overlays and screen controls. Storage is an NVMe SSD on M.2 Key M with PCIe Gen4 x4 plus a SATA3 port, and power is 12 to 19 V DC.

The iBOX-1315UE/D5 runs from 0 °C to 40 °C with no fan, and the 1.6 kg aluminium case can be VESA or wall mounted behind a screen, with DIN rail available by request. TPM 2.0, a hardware watchdog and CE and FCC Class A compliance come as standard. For video walls or interactive content, the iBOX-1365UE/D5 moves to a Core i7, while the iBOX-1315UE/D5 is the digital signage player for scheduled content across up to four screens.
