ASRock Industrial IMB-1234M Mini-ITX Motherboard with Intel Core i5-1245UE, Quad Display, vPro and 12 to 28 V DC

Signage players, control desks and kiosks spread across many sites need a compact board that IT can manage remotely, often from a DC supply. The IMB-1234M is the Core i5 build in the ASRock Industrial IMB-1234 series: a Mini-ITX motherboard with an onboard 12th Gen Intel Core i5-1245UE, vPro and AMT, fed from 12 to 28 V DC.

The Intel Core i5-1245UE is a 12th Gen Alder Lake-P processor with two Performance and eight Efficient cores, the mid-range option in the series. Two DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM sockets run in dual channel for up to 64 GB. Intel Iris Xe Graphics drives two HDMI 2.0b outputs and two DisplayPort 1.4a outputs over USB-C, all at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz, plus internal dual-channel LVDS and eDP 1.4b connectors, with up to four displays at once.

Two Intel I225LM controllers give two 2.5GbE ports, with AMT and vPro on LAN1. The rear panel carries two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort output and two USB 2.0 ports, and internal headers add one USB 3.2 Gen 1, two USB 2.0, six COM ports (two RS-232/422/485 and four RS-232) and 4-in/4-out GPIO. Storage is an M.2 M key on PCIe Gen4 x4 and two SATA 6Gb/s ports with Intel VMD RAID 0/1. An M.2 B key with SIM takes a 4G or 5G module and an M.2 E key takes Wi-Fi. The IMB-1234P is the Core i7 build, and the IMB-1234V is the Core i3 build without vPro.

Power is 12 to 28 V DC on a lockable DC jack, with AT and ATX modes. The board operates from -20 to 70 °C and stores from -40 to 85 °C at 5 to 90% humidity, and carries a TPM 2.0 chip, a 256-segment watchdog timer and Realtek ALC897 audio. It measures 170 x 170 mm on the Mini-ITX footprint.
