ASRock Industrial IMB-A1700 AMD EPYC 4005 and Ryzen 9000 AM5 ATX Motherboard with ECC, Quad LAN and 6x COM

Machine builders often need one board to carry several add-in cards and a long list of serial devices. The ASRock Industrial IMB-A1700 is an AM5 ATX motherboard with seven PCIe slots, six COM ports and four LAN ports, which suits automation and vision builds where card count and I/O matter more than board size.

The socketed IMB-A1700 supports AMD EPYC 4005 and Ryzen 9000/7000 desktop processors up to 170 W on the AMD B650 chipset, such as the EPYC 4545P and 4465P or the Ryzen 9700X, and we fit the CPU to order. Four U-DIMM sockets take dual channel DDR5 5600 in ECC or non-ECC form up to 256 GB, with ECC support depending on the CPU. RDNA 2 integrated graphics drive the outputs, and Windows 11 and Linux are supported.

Two PCIe Gen5 slots run as one x16 or as x8/x8, alongside a PCIe x4 Gen4 slot and four PCIe x1 Gen4 slots. Networking is one Intel I226V and two Realtek RTL8125BG 2.5GbE ports plus an Intel I210AT Gigabit port. Two HDMI 2.0b outputs and a DisplayPort 1.2 sit at the rear, and an internal USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C header with DisplayPort output makes four displays. Of 16 USB ports in total, seven USB 3.2 Gen 2 and one USB 2.0 sit at the rear, with a vertical USB 2.0, six USB 2.0 on headers and the Type-C header inside. COM1 and COM2 handle RS-232/422/485 and COM3 to COM6 are RS-232. Storage is an M.2 M key on PCIe Gen4 x4 plus four SATA3 ports with RAID 0, 1 and 10.

Power comes from a 24+8-pin ATX connector with AT and ATX power-on modes. The board is rated from -20 °C to 60 °C operating, with an onboard TPM 2.0 chip, a watchdog timer and CE and FCC marks. We supply the IMB-A1700 configured and tested, with the CPU, memory, storage and the OS image fitted. The IMB-A1302 offers five LAN ports and wireless on Micro-ATX, and the IMB-A1003 runs the same socket from 12 to 28 V DC on Mini-ITX.
