Avalue ARC-1200 12.1″ PCAP Industrial Touch Monitor with 600 Nit XGA LCD and Front IP65 Bezel

HMI screens on a factory floor compete with overhead lighting and are often written for a 4:3 layout that a widescreen would stretch. The ARC-1200 is Avalue’s 12.1 inch industrial touch monitor for those installs, with a 600 nit XGA LCD, 10-point PCAP touch and an IP65 front panel. It has no built-in computer and runs from the video output of an existing PC or controller.

The 4:3 panel runs at 1024 x 768 with an LED backlight, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 11 ms response and 178° viewing angles in both directions. At 600 nits it is the brightest monitor in the ARC family, which helps where lighting is strong. The projected capacitive touch layer takes up to ten touch points with 89% light transmission, and OSD keys sit on the rear cover.

Inputs are one HDMI 1.4a and one DisplayPort 1.2 input, both with HDCP 1.3, plus a 15-pin VGA input, with touch returned to the host on a USB Type-B port and two 5 W speakers built in. An optional bi-directional Wi-Fi 6 module can carry the image and USB touch signal where a cable run is awkward. The ARC-1500 keeps the 4:3 XGA format on a 15 inch panel, and the ARC-10W00 offers a smaller 10.1 inch 16:10 screen.

Power is 12 V DC through a DC jack, with an optional 9 to 36 V DC Phoenix input, and a 100 to 240 V AC 60 W adapter is supplied. The fanless monitor operates from -10 to 50 °C as standard, with -20 to 70 °C available as an option, at up to 95% humidity at 40 °C, non-condensing. It is shock-tested to MIL-STD-810G Method 516.6 at 20 G and vibration-tested to IEC 60068-2-64 at 1.5 Grms from 5 to 500 Hz, and it carries CE and FCC Class A marks. It measures 293.77 x 226.3 x 61.5 mm and weighs 2.5 kg, with a panel mount kit included and wall, stand or 75 x 75 and 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting as alternatives.
