Avalue EPI-ARLS-H81-A1R Intel Arrow Lake-S Core Ultra LGA 1851 4″ x86 SBC with H810 Chipset and Dual 2.5GbE

Operator panels, signage controllers and inspection stations often need more processing than a low-power soldered chip offers, yet still have to fit a compact enclosure. The EPI-ARLS-H81-A1R covers that in the Avalue EPI-ARLS series: a 4″ x86 SBC, 165 x 115 mm, with an LGA 1851 socket for Intel Core Ultra 200S T-series processors and the Intel H810 chipset.

The socket takes the Core Ultra 5 225T with 10 cores, the Core Ultra 5 245T with 14, the Core Ultra 7 265T with 20 or the Core Ultra 9 285T with 24, all Arrow Lake-S parts at a 35 W TDP with AI performance rated at 13 TOPS. That lets one board design cover an entry HMI and a multi-camera vision build. One DDR5 SO-DIMM slot takes up to 48 GB at 5600 MHz, or 6400 MHz with Core Ultra 7 and 9. Intel Xe LPG graphics drive DisplayPort 2.0 at up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz, HDMI 2.0 and a dual-channel LVDS or eDP panel.

The H810 build has two 2.5GbE ports, one on an Intel I226LM and one on an Intel I226V controller, with two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports on the rear. Internal headers add four USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports and 16-bit GPIO. One M.2 M-key 2280 socket with PCIe x4 Gen4 takes an NVMe or SATA SSD, and an M.2 E-key 2230 socket takes Wi-Fi. Audio covers line-in, line-out and mic-in, and a discrete TPM 2.0 is fitted.

The EPI-ARLS-H81-A1R runs from 12 V DC on a barrel connector and operates from 0 to 60 °C with its CPU cooler and 0.5 m/s airflow, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. For a third 2.5GbE port, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports, a second M.2 SSD and Intel AMT, the EPI-ARLS-Q87-A1R adds the Intel Q870 chipset on the same board.
