Avalue EPI-ARLS-Q87-A1R Intel Core Ultra 200S T-Series 4″ EPIC Single Board Computer with Q870 Chipset and Triple 2.5GbE

A vision cell with several GigE cameras, or a gateway sitting between plant, office and cloud networks, needs Ethernet ports and fast storage as much as it needs cores. The EPI-ARLS-Q87-A1R is built for that load in the Avalue EPI-ARLS series: a 4″ EPIC single board computer with an LGA 1851 socket for Intel Core Ultra 200S T-series processors, the Intel Q870 chipset and three 2.5GbE ports on a 165 x 115 mm board.

Processor choice runs from the 10-core Core Ultra 5 225T through the Core Ultra 5 245T and Core Ultra 7 265T to the 24-core Core Ultra 9 285T, all Arrow Lake-S parts at a 35 W TDP with AI performance rated at 13 TOPS for inference alongside the application. One DDR5 SO-DIMM slot takes up to 48 GB, running at 6400 MHz with Core Ultra 7 and 9 processors. Intel Xe LPG graphics drive DisplayPort 2.0 at up to 7680 x 4320 at 60 Hz, HDMI 2.0 and a dual-channel LVDS or eDP panel.

The Q870 adds a third 2.5GbE port, so there is one Intel I226LM and two Intel I226V controllers, and Avalue lists Intel AMT remote management on the I226LM port. Four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports sit on the rear, with four USB 2.0, two RS-232, two RS-232/422/485 and 16-bit GPIO on internal headers. Two M.2 M-key sockets, 2280 and 2242, each carry PCIe x4 Gen4 for NVMe or SATA SSDs, and an M.2 E-key socket takes Wi-Fi.

The EPI-ARLS-Q87-A1R runs from 12 V DC on a barrel connector, operates from 0 to 60 °C with its CPU cooler and 0.5 m/s airflow, and carries CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance with a discrete TPM 2.0. If two network ports and one SSD cover the design, the EPI-ARLS-H81-A1R uses the Intel H810 chipset with the same processor support.
