AVerMedia CL311-M2 PCIe HDMI and Analogue Capture Card with 1080p60 Input

The CL311-M2 is AVerMedia's single-channel PCIe frame grabber for mixed sources: one HDMI 1.3a input plus composite, S-Video and component through a 9-in-1 dongle cable, captured at up to 1920 x 1080 and 60 fps. It suits inspection and AV systems that mix HDMI sources with older analogue cameras or video equipment.

  • HDMI Plus Analogue Inputs: One HDMI 1.3a input and composite, S-Video or component through the 9-in-1 dongle cable, with stereo L/R audio in.
  • 1080p60 Capture and Recording: Maximum input and recording of 1920 x 1080 at 60 fps, with hardware scaling, de-interlacing and colour space conversion.
  • VBI on Analogue Sources: VBI data is captured from composite and S-Video inputs, with 8-bit YUY2, YVYU and UYVY 4:2:2 output formats.
  • Low-Profile PCIe Gen2 x1: A low-profile card with a low-profile bracket included, drawing 4.6 W, and multi-card support for extra channels.
  • 0 to 65 °C Operating Range: Rated from 0 °C to 65 °C at 5% to 80% RH, with FCC and CE marks and Windows driver support.

CL311-M2 Overview

Many inspection and AV systems still mix a modern HDMI source with older analogue cameras, and replacing every camera at once is rarely practical. The AVerMedia CL311-M2 is a PCIe frame grabber that takes both: one HDMI 1.3a input and an AV-IN connector for composite, S-Video or component video through a 9-in-1 dongle cable. For newer sources at higher resolution, the CL511HN captures 4K60 over HDMI 2.0, and the CL314H1 takes four HDMI inputs on one card.

The CL311-M2 captures one channel at up to 1920 x 1080 and 60 fps, for both input and recording. An FPGA handles hardware scaling, de-interlacing and colour space conversion, which can keep that work off the host CPU, and VBI data is captured from composite and S-Video sources. Output is 8-bit 4:2:2 in YUY2, YVYU or UYVY, and audio arrives as HDMI embedded PCM or through the stereo L/R input, at 48, 44.1 or 32 kHz.

The card is low profile on a PCIe Gen2 x1 interface, with a low-profile bracket included for compact host PCs. The bracket carries an HDMI connector and the AV-IN connector for the dongle cable, and multi-card operation is supported where a system needs more than one channel. AVerMedia supplies Windows drivers for the card. If your host has an M.2 slot rather than a PCIe slot, the CN311-H captures HDMI at up to 4K30 in M.2 form.

The CL311-M2 is rated from 0 °C to 65 °C at 5% to 80% RH, draws 4.6 W and carries FCC and CE marks. We supply the CL311-M2 fitted and tested in the host computer it will run in, with drivers installed, the dongle cable included and capture checked before it ships.
