AVerMedia D135OXB-16G-004 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB IP65 Waterproof Computer with 8x GMSL2 Cameras, M12 PoE and -40 to 70 °C

Robots, vehicles and outdoor inspection rigs often need many cameras spread around the machine, with the computer bolted somewhere exposed to dust, water and vibration. The AVerMedia D135OXB-16G-004 is an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB IP65 waterproof computer from the D135 series, built with eight GMSL2 camera inputs. AVerMedia aims the D135 at AMRs, smart security and smart inspection.

Compute comes from a Jetson Orin NX 16GB module, cooled through a finned fanless enclosure, with a 256 GB NVMe SSD installed in the M.2 M-key 2280 slot. Eight GMSL2 inputs on FAKRA-Z connectors carry automotive cameras over long coax runs, and two M12 X-code GbE ports with 802.3af PoE add IP cameras. AVerMedia supplies a JetPack 6.2 BSP on Ubuntu 22.04. If the cameras are all PoE, the D135OXB-16G-008 swaps the GMSL bank for four more M12 PoE ports.

Sealed I/O covers two isolated CAN 2.0 ports on an M12 A-code connector, a 12-pin M12 A-code connector with four isolated GPI, two isolated GPO and RS485, and two M20 USB ports at 5 Gbps. Behind an O-ring service panel sit a GbE RJ45, a USB Type-A port, HDMI at 3840 x 2160 and 60 Hz and two micro SIM slots. Inside, an M.2 E-key 2230 slot takes optional Wi-Fi, an M.2 B-key 3042/3052 slot takes an optional 4G or 5G module, and an mPCIe slot takes optional GNSS or RTK, with six FAKRA antenna connectors (antennas optional).

Power comes in at 9 V to 36 V DC on an M12 B-code connector, with a power ignition controller and super capacitor for vehicle installs. The D135OXB-16G-004 is rated from -40 °C to 70 °C, verified to MIL-STD-810H for shock and vibration, and AVerMedia lists CE, FCC and KC. For a smaller boxed unit inside a cabinet, see the D131SOXB.
