Axiomtek CAPA13RPH4G-V1807B 3.5″ SBC with AMD Ryzen Embedded V1807B, Four GbE LAN and Quad-View Display

A network appliance or gateway often has to fit a small enclosure yet still run several displays and ports from one board. The CAPA13RPH4G-V1807B is the four-LAN V1807B build in the Axiomtek CAPA13R series: a 3.5 inch SBC with an onboard AMD Ryzen Embedded APU, four Gigabit Ethernet ports and a display set that covers DisplayPort, HDMI and LVDS panels.

The AMD Ryzen Embedded V1807B runs at 3.35 to 3.8 GHz with 2 MB cache in a 45 W envelope, which gives more headroom for graphics-heavy or multi-tasking software. One DDR4-3200 SO-DIMM socket takes up to 16 GB. AMD Radeon RX Vega graphics share system memory and drive one DisplayPort++, two HDMI outputs and an 18/24-bit single or dual-channel LVDS header, with quad-view support, so one board can run a local panel and external screens at the same time.

Four Gigabit Ethernet ports on Realtek RTL8111G controllers support Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot. Two USB 3.2 Gen2 and two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232/422/485 and one RS-232 port and 8-channel programmable digital I/O cover peripherals and field signals. Storage runs from an M.2 Key B socket (SATA, USB 2.0, optional PCIe x2) in 2242 or 3042 and a SATA-600 port, and an M.2 Key E socket (PCIe x1, USB 2.0) takes a 2230 card. Audio comes through an HD audio link to the optional AX93A22 board. The CAPA13RPHGG-V1807B is the same board with two LAN ports, and the CAPA13RPH4G-V1605B pairs four ports with the 15 W V1605B.

Power is 12 V DC only on a 2 x 2-pin connector, with AT auto power on, and Axiomtek quotes a minimum RMS draw of 12 V at 4.2 A with 16 GB of DDR4. TPM 2.0 on an ST ST33HTPH2E32AHB4 chip and a 255-level watchdog timer suit systems that run unattended. The board operates from -20 to 60 °C at 10 to 95% humidity, non-condensing, and measures 146 x 104 mm. This code is the version supplied without a fan; a fan-cooled version and a heatspreader are separate ordering options.
