Axiomtek eBOX100A-N97-4E Intel Processor N97 Alder Lake-N Extended Temperature Compact Embedded Computer with 4x 2.5GbE

Some edge boxes are mostly network: a handful of IP cameras on one side, a control network on another and an uplink on a third, each needing its own port. Adding an external switch costs space and another point of failure. The eBOX100A-N97-4E is the quad-LAN build of the Axiomtek eBOX100A series, a compact embedded computer with four 2.5GbE ports built in.

Compute comes from the Intel Processor N97, a quad-core Alder Lake-N processor running up to 3.6 GHz within 12 W, with one DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 16GB and TPM 2.0 on board. That handles routing, firewalling, recording a few camera streams and running a gateway application, and the compact embedded computer supports Windows 10, Windows 11 IoT and Linux.

Four Intel I226-V 2.5GbE ports sit on the front panel with two USB 3.2 Gen 1 and two USB 2.0 ports, a Full HD HDMI output and a DisplayPort++ 1.4a output. Two RS-232/422/485 ports with auto flow control sit on top for serial equipment. To make room for the extra LAN ports, the eBOX100A-N97-4E drops the M.2 Key E socket, so wireless goes in the full-size Mini Card slot with its internal SIM socket. Storage is a 2.5 inch SATA drive up to 15 mm.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC with ignition sensing and full input protection. The eBOX100A-N97-4E runs fanless from -40 to 60 °C with wide-temperature DRAM and SSD, measures 155 x 110 x 60 mm at 1.1 kg, and carries CE, FCC Class A, UKCA, UL 62368-1 and IEC 60945 marking. Where Wi-Fi 6E matters more than the extra ports, the eBOX100A-N97-2E is the matching build.
