Axiomtek UST210-83K-FL-E3940-2COM-TVDC Intel Atom x5-E3940 Apollo Lake Vehicle Computer with 4x GbE and 2x COM

A vehicle gateway often sits between several separate networks: passenger Wi-Fi, the operator’s systems and a set of serial devices that predate them all. Keeping those apart needs multiple Ethernet ports, and connecting the older kit needs proper serial. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-2COM-TVDC is the dual-serial, non-PoE build of the Axiomtek UST210-83K-FL series, a vehicle computer with four GbE ports and two serial ports.

The Intel Atom x5-E3940 is a quad-core Apollo Lake processor at 1.6 GHz with a 9.5 W TDP, with one DDR3L-1600 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 8GB and TPM 2.0 on board. It comfortably handles routing, firewalling, protocol conversion, data logging and LTE backhaul for a single vehicle, and the vehicle computer supports Windows 10 64-bit and Linux.

Four Intel I210-AT GbE ports keep passenger, operator and camera networks separate without an external switch, and two terminal block ports provide RS-232/422/485 for ticketing, destination displays or meters. HDMI up to 1920 x 1080, two USB 3.0 ports and a DB9 8-bit programmable DIO complete the I/O. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-2COM-TVDC stores data on an internal 2.5 inch SATA drive or an mSATA module, and a full-size Mini Card slot with SIM socket takes an LTE modem.

Power is 12 or 24 V DC on a terminal block with smart ignition and ISO 7637-2 pulse protection. The UST210-83K-FL-E3940-2COM-TVDC runs fanless from -40 to 70 °C, is E-Mark certified and MIL-STD-810G vibration compliant, and measures 48 x 110.4 x 155 mm at 0.51 kg. To power cameras from the same ports, the UST210-83K-FL-E3940-4POE-2COM-TVDC adds PoE+ on all four.
