DFI ADN173-CB-N50 Dual-Core Intel N50 Industrial Mini-ITX Motherboard with 9 to 36 V DC Input and Dual 2.5GbE

An operator panel beside a machine often has three jobs: show the process, show a camera feed or work instructions, and pass data up to the network, all from the machine’s own 24 V supply. The ADN173-CB-N50 does that at 6 W as the dual-core industrial Mini-ITX motherboard in the DFI ADN173 range, with three display outputs on the rear panel.

The Intel Processor N50 runs two Alder Lake-N cores at up to 3.4 GHz in a 6 W TDP. Intel UHD Graphics drive the three displays and decode HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC in hardware, and memory is one DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM of up to 16 GB. The ADN173-CB-x7425E keeps three rear display outputs with four Atom cores at 12 W, while the ADN173-CB-N97 offers four cores and 32 GB memory support on two DisplayPort outputs.

Both DisplayPort outputs reach 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz, and the USB-C port carries DisplayPort Alt Mode at 3840 x 2160 and 24 Hz with 15 W power delivery. Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, four USB 2.0 headers, two Intel I226V 2.5GbE ports, six COM ports and an 8-bit DIO cover peripherals, networking and machine signals. The M.2 B-key with Nano SIM, M.2 E-key with CNVi support, two SATA 3.0 ports and a PCIe x4 slot at x2 Gen3 leave room for storage, Wi-Fi or cellular and an add-in card.

The ADN173-CB-N50 accepts 9 to 36 V DC on a barrel jack or 4-pin connector and operates from -5 to 65 °C, which suits indoor machine enclosures and cabinets. DFI lists CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS and KC compliance, and the board supports Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB, Windows 11 and Linux.
