DFI ASL051-BCD-N305 Intel Core i3-N305 (Alder Lake-N) Pico-ITX Single Board Computer with Dual 2.5GbE, HDMI and LVDS

The Core i3-N305 has become a common choice for OEM equipment that needs eight cores within a low power budget, and many software stacks are already validated on it. The ASL051-BCD-N305 carries that processor on the DFI ASL051 series board, a 2.5″ Pico-ITX single board computer for indoor HMIs, gateways and machine vision tasks.

The Intel Core i3-N305 is an Alder Lake-N processor with eight cores running from 1.8 to 3.8 GHz at a 15 W TDP. With a DDR5 SO-DIMM socket for up to 16 GB at 4800 MHz, it can typically run several containers, or an HMI with image processing alongside. Intel UHD Graphics provides hardware decode of HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC.

Two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226V controllers suit a camera on one port and the plant network on the other. HDMI at up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz and dual-channel LVDS at up to 1920 x 1200 drive two independent displays. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, two internal USB 2.0 ports, two RS-232/422/485 ports and 8-bit DIO connect peripherals and field signals, and three M.2 sockets add Wi-Fi, 4G or 5G and SSD storage.

The ASL051-BCD-N305 takes 12 V DC on a terminal block, cools passively through its heatsink and operates from -5 to 65 °C, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance and support for Windows 10 and 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC and Linux. The ASL051-BCD-N355 is the Twin Lake alternative with eight cores at up to 3.9 GHz, and the ASL051-BCD-N97 offers four cores at 12 W for lighter loads.
