DFI ASL173-CB-N150 Intel N150 Mini-ITX Motherboard with 9 to 36 V DC Input and Dual 2.5GbE

Vending machines, self-service kiosks and indoor production equipment often carry a 24 V supply but never see frost. For those, wide temperature is a cost without a return, while cores and USB are not. The ASL173-CB-N150 is the standard-temperature build in the DFI ASL173 series of Mini-ITX motherboards, keeping the 9 to 36 V DC input of its Amston Lake siblings.

The Intel Processor N150 (Twin Lake) has four cores running up to 3.6 GHz within a 6 W TDP, so this N150 motherboard gives quad-core headroom at the lowest TDP in the series. Memory is one DDR5 4800 MHz SO-DIMM of up to 16 GB. Intel UHD Graphics decodes HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC in hardware for signage content and drives a DP++ output at up to 4K 60 Hz and an HDMI 2.0 output.

Four rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports and four internal USB 2.0 headers take touch controllers, printers, cameras and card readers. Six COM ports on headers (two RS-232/422/485, four RS-232) and 8-bit DIO suit coin mechanisms, payment terminals and machine signals, and two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226IT controllers split the equipment network from the uplink. Three M.2 slots with Nano SIM, a PCIe x4 slot and two SATA ports cover cellular, Wi-Fi and storage.

The ASL173-CB-N150 runs from 9 to 36 V DC on a 4-pin connector or barrel connector and operates from -5 to 65 °C fanless, with CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. For outdoor kiosks, ASL173-CT-x7433RE is the quad-core Atom build rated from -40 to 85 °C, and ASL173-CT-x7213RE keeps DP and HDMI across that range.
