DFI CMS630-Q470ECRM Intel Comet Lake Core ATX Industrial Motherboard with Q470E Chipset, Dual LAN and Seven Expansion Slots

Production test and machine control systems often mix a current PCIe card with an older PCI interface and a row of serial devices, without needing a Xeon. The CMS630-Q470ECRM is the Q470E build of the CMS630 series, an ATX industrial motherboard with seven expansion slots and an LGA1200 socket for 10th Gen Intel Core (Comet Lake).

The socket takes Core i3, i5, i7 and i9 processors, from the four-core i3-10100TE at 35 W to the 10-core i9-10900E at 65 W, plus the Pentium G6400E and the Celeron G5900E and G5900TE for lighter control tasks, with DFI rating the socket up to 125 W. Four DDR4 2933 MHz DIMM slots take up to 128 GB of non-ECC memory. Intel UHD Graphics drives three independent displays, with hardware H.265 and VP9 decode for video review, and Intel AMT supports remote management on Core i5, i7 and i9.

Two PCIe x16 Gen3 slots share x16 or x8/x8 signal, with two PCIe x4 Gen3 slots, a PCIe x4 slot with x1 signal and two PCI slots beside them. Storage covers two M.2 M-key NVMe sockets and four SATA 3.0 ports with RAID. Two GbE ports on Intel I219LM and I210AT controllers sit on the rear panel with eight USB Type-A ports and an RS-232/422/485 DB-9, while headers carry another RS-232/422/485 port, four RS-232 ports, 16-bit digital I/O, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 and three USB 2.0.

The CMS630-Q470ECRM runs from a standard ATX supply over 24-pin and 8-pin connectors across -5 to 65 °C, and carries CE, FCC, UKCA, KC, UL and RoHS compliance, optional TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer. For Xeon W-1200E processors and ECC memory, choose the CMS630-W480ECRM.
