DFI EC700-ADN-N97 Intel N97 (Alder Lake-N) Fanless Embedded PC with 9-36V DC, 2x 2.5GbE and 4x COM

Not every line-side terminal needs remote BIOS access or a USB-C display. The EC700-ADN-N97 keeps the networking and serial ports of the DFI EC700-ADN series and pairs them with an Intel Processor N97 and four USB-A ports, in the same slim fanless embedded PC.

The N97 runs four Alder Lake-N cores within a 12 W TDP, with 4 GB of LPDDR5 4800 soldered down and TPM 2.0 on board. That suits HMI front ends, label printing, barcode and serial gateway work. Intel UHD Graphics drives HDMI and VGA for two displays, and the EC700-ADN-N97 runs Windows 11 IoT Enterprise or Ubuntu 22.04 with UEFI boot.

Networking is two Intel i226 2.5GbE ports, with TSN available by project, and one Intel i210 GbE port. Serial is two RS-232/422/485 and two RS-232 ports on DB9, with DIO on COM4, so PLCs, scanners and older serial kit connect directly. USB is four USB 3.2 Type-A, and HDMI and VGA give two displays, with a combined line-out and mic-in jack. Expansion is an M.2 M key 2242/2280 slot for NVMe or SATA storage, an M.2 B key 3042/3052 slot with SIM for optional 4G/5G and an M.2 E key 2230 slot for optional Wi-Fi.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a DC jack. DFI rates the EC700-ADN-N97 from -5 °C to 60 °C with 0.2 m/s airflow, with shock and vibration tested to MIL-STD-810G, and lists CE, FCC, RoHS, UKCA, KC and BIS compliance. It fixes to a wall, a VESA plate or a DIN rail with optional kits. We supply it configured and tested, with storage, the OS image and any wireless modules fitted before it ships.
