DFI EC70A-MTH4051TC3-155U-FAN Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra 7 Edge AI Computer with Fan and Wide Temperature

Vision inspection beside an oven, a press or a packing line in summer needs both compute headroom and a cabinet rating above 60 °C. The EC70A-MTH4051TC3-155U-FAN is the fan-cooled Intel Core Ultra 7 155U build of the DFI EC70A-MTH series: an edge AI computer that runs the processor at 28 W and is rated from -20 °C to 70 °C. DFI lists it as preliminary, and it is available to order.

The Intel Core Ultra 7 155U has 12 cores and 14 threads with a boost clock of up to 4.9 GHz, set to 28 W with the fitted fan. Its integrated Intel NPU can take inference work off the CPU. Memory is 16 GB of dual-channel LPDDR5-6400 soldered on-board, with 32 GB by request. DFI lists Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise and Linux, with TPM 2.0 and a watchdog timer.

Networking is two 2.5GbE ports on Intel I226IT controllers and one GbE port on an Intel I210IT that carries DFI Out-of-Band (OOB) management: remote power on and off, reset and BIOS update over the network, with no agent in the operating system. Four DB9 COM ports give COM1 as RS-232/422/485, COM2 and COM3 as RS-232, and COM4 as RS-232/422/485 or 8-bit DIO by jumper. Five USB 3.2 ports and one USB-C with DisplayPort alt mode join an HDMI port for two displays. An M.2 2280 M key takes a PCIe x4 or SATA SSD, an M.2 3052 B key with SIM slot takes an optional 4G or 5G module, and an M.2 2230 E key takes optional Wi-Fi.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a DC jack. With its fan the build is rated from -20 °C to 70 °C with a wide-temperature SSD. The EC70A-MTH4051TC3-155U-FAN mounts on a wall, a VESA bracket or a DIN rail, is tested to IEC 60068-2-27 shock and IEC 60068-2-64 vibration, and DFI lists CE, FCC Class A, UKCA and KC. The fanless EC70A-MTH4051TC3-155U has the same processor for cooler sites, and the EC70A-MTH4051TC3-125U-FAN is the fan build with the Core Ultra 5.
