DFI ED700-EHL-J6412 Intel Celeron J6412 DIN Rail PC with 9-36V DC, 2.5GbE and 2x GbE

Control panels and machine cabinets usually have room on the rail but not on the back plate, so a computer that clips onto a DIN rail saves a redesign. The ED700-EHL-J6412 is the entry build of the DFI ED700-EHL series: a fanless DIN rail PC with an Intel Celeron J6412, a 2.5GbE TSN port and dual SIM wireless options, for cabinets that stay between 0 °C and 60 °C.

The Celeron J6412 runs four Elkhart Lake cores within a 10 W TDP, with Intel UHD Graphics, which suits HMI, data collection and protocol gateway software. Memory is 4 GB of DDR4 onboard plus one DDR4 3200 SO-DIMM, up to 32 GB in total. Storage is 16 GB of eMMC plus an M.2 2280 SATA slot, and the ED700-EHL-J6412 runs Windows or Ubuntu 20.04 with UEFI boot.

Networking is one 2.5GbE TSN port and two Intel GbE ports on RJ45, with an Allxon OOB Enabler optional by request. USB is two USB 2.0 Type-A on top and four USB 3.1 Type-A on the front, and VGA drives one display at up to 2560×1600. Two RS-232/422/485 ports on DB9 handle PLCs, meters and drives. An M.2 3042/3052 B key slot with dual SIM takes an optional 5G Sub-6 or 4G module, and an M.2 2230 E key slot takes optional Wi-Fi 6.

Power is 9 to 36 V DC on a terminal block. DFI rates the ED700-EHL-J6412 from 0 °C to 60 °C, with 3G operating shock and random vibration to IEC 60068-2-64, and lists CE, FCC, RoHS and UKCA compliance. It mounts on a DIN rail or a wall, with two wall brackets in the box.
