DFI EHL051-TCD-6425E Intel Atom x6425E Pico-ITX Motherboard with Dual GbE and -40 to 85 °C

An outdoor kiosk or parking terminal has to redraw its screen quickly and talk to a card reader, a printer and a back office link, whatever the weather. The EHL051-TCD-6425E is the build with the highest base clock in the DFI EHL051 series of Pico-ITX motherboards, with bursts to 3.0 GHz for responsive user interfaces in an extended temperature range.

Its Intel Atom x6425E (Elkhart Lake) has four cores at 2.0 GHz, bursting to 3.0 GHz, with a 12 W TDP. One DDR4 3200 MHz SO-DIMM takes up to 32 GB with in-band ECC. Intel UHD Graphics drives HDMI at up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz and a dual-channel 18/24-bit LVDS panel at 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz, and hardware decode covers H.264, H.265 and VP9 for video content.

Two GbE ports on Intel I226 controllers keep the payment or control network apart from public connectivity. Two RS-232/422/485 ports take a card reader and receipt printer, 8-bit DIO handles buttons and door sensors, and two rear USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports with two internal USB 2.0 headers add scanners or touch controllers. The M.2 E-key takes Wi-Fi, the M.2 B-key takes a 4G or 5G module with its SIM slot, and a SATA 3.0 port adds storage.

The EHL051-TCD-6425E runs from 12 V DC on a 2-pin terminal block and operates from -40 to 85 °C on its fanless heatsink, with CE, FCC, UKCA, RoHS and KC compliance and TPM 2.0. The EHL051-TCD-6425RE is the RE alternative at a fixed 1.9 GHz, and EHL051-BCD-J6412 suits indoor kiosks at -5 to 65 °C.
