DFI TWLF51-BT-86N15 Intel N150 1.8″ Femto-ITX SBC with 8GB LPDDR5 Memory and 64GB eMMC

Digital signage players, ticket kiosks and small IoT gateways usually run one application around the clock, so a low power draw matters more than peak speed. The TWLF51-BT-86N15 is the 6 W Twin Lake build of the DFI TWLF51 series, a 1.8″ Femto-ITX SBC that fits an 84 x 55 mm space inside the device.

The Intel N150 has four cores running from 1.0 to 3.6 GHz within a 6 W TDP, which keeps the passive heatsink small and the enclosure cool. It works with 8 GB of LPDDR5 memory at 4800 MHz and 64 GB of eMMC, both soldered on. Intel UHD Graphics outputs 4K content at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0, with hardware decode for HEVC, VP9, AV1 and AVC video, which suits signage playlists.

A single GbE port on an Intel I210-IT controller connects to the content server or site network, and an M.2 E-key 2230 socket takes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for installations without a cable run. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports handle touch screens or cameras, while internal headers carry two USB 2.0 ports, one RS-232/422/485 port for a printer or card reader, and 8-bit DIO.

The TWLF51-BT-86N15 takes 12 V DC on a terminal block, runs fanless and operates from -5 to 65 °C. It supports Windows 11 IoT Enterprise and Linux, carries a discrete TPM 2.0 and has CE, FCC, UKCA and RoHS compliance. The TWLF51-BT-86N10 is the Alder Lake-N alternative with the quad-core N100 at the same 6 W, and the TWLF51-BT-86N35 doubles the core count to eight for heavier gateway software.
