The SABRENET-24000 is Diamond Systems' largest rugged Ethernet switch, a sealed Layer 3 system with 24 gigabit copper ports and up to four multi-gigabit copper or fibre ports, built around Diamond's EPS-24G4X board. It suits vehicle, industrial and military networks in harsh environments.

24 Plus 4 Ports: 24 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports and up to four 1/2.5/5/10 Gbps ports, with non-blocking wire-speed performance on all ports.
Copper or Fibre Uplinks: The fast ports use SFP+ transceivers on M12 X-coded copper connectors or LC fibre through X-Beam or 38999 shells with termini.
Layer 3 Software: IStaX routing and switching software adds OSPFv2, IPv4/IPv6 static routing, 4K VLANs, RSTP/MSTP and IEEE 1588 PTP to the switch.
Web and RS-232 Management: A GUI over any Ethernet port and a command-line interface on the built-in RS-232 port give in-band and out-of-band control.
Sealed Wide-Temperature Case: IP67 rated construction, a MIL-STD-810 shock and vibration rating and -40 to +85 °C operation suit vehicles and exposed sites.

SABRENET-24000 Overview

A vehicle or shelter network with two dozen devices and fast links to a server or radio needs more ports and more bandwidth than a small sealed switch can offer. The SABRENET-24000 is Diamond Systems’ answer: a rugged Ethernet switch that Diamond builds around its EPS-24G4X switch board and seals in an IP67 rated case, for vehicle and other applications that must withstand harsh environmental conditions.

It provides 24 10/100/1000 Mbps copper ports on MIL-DTL-38999 Series III connectors and up to four 1/2.5/5/10 Gbps ports from SFP+ transceivers, with non-blocking wire-speed performance on all ports. Diamond’s IStaX Layer 3 routing and switching software runs on the switch. You manage it through a GUI web interface on any port or a command language on a built-in RS-232 port, and Diamond can add your logo, colour scheme and part numbers to both.

The software supports 8K MAC addresses, 4K IEEE 802.1Q VLANs, 8K IPv4 and IPv6 multicast groups and jumbo frames at all speeds, with IEEE 802.3ad link aggregation, RSTP, MSTP, IGMP snooping, port mirroring, OSPFv2 routing and IEEE 1588 PTP. The fast ports come as copper on M12 X-coded connectors, one port per connector, or as LC fibre modules through X-Beam connectors or 38999 shells with termini, two ports per connector. The switch takes a wide input voltage range and comes in two power builds: a standard-height case with a MIL-STD-461 filter, or a taller enclosure with an isolated rugged power supply offering MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-704 compatibility. Diamond quotes a MIL-STD-810 shock and vibration rating and -40 to +85 °C operation, with conduction cooling from the EPS-24G4X inside. Diamond builds each unit to order from your chosen port and connector options, and external lab-grade cables and kits are available for each option.
