Forecr MILBOARD-THR NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Military-Grade Rugged Jetson Carrier Boards
The Forecr MILBOARD-THR series is a family of rugged carrier boards for the NVIDIA Jetson T5000 and T4000 modules, on a 150 x 140 mm mil-grade board. It has four 10GBASE-T links, isolated CAN FD, serial and digital I/O, three PCIe Gen5 NVMe slots, a camera expansion slot for GMSL2 add-ons and an 18-36 V DC input. The MILBOARD-THR series suits defence, aerospace, marine and transport systems.
- For NVIDIA Jetson T5000 and T4000: Hosts the Jetson T5000 with 128 GB or the T4000 with 64 GB of LPDDR5X on a 150 x 140 mm board.
- Quad 10GBASE-T on Board Connectors: Four 10GBASE-T links, three USB 3.2 and two HDMI 2.1 on locking Samtec connectors for the enclosure to break out.
- Isolated CAN FD, Serial and DIO: Four isolated CAN FD, four isolated RS-232/422/485 and eight isolated digital I/O lines for vehicle and mission buses.
- Camera Slot and Three Gen5 NVMe: A camera expansion slot for GMSL2 or analogue video add-ons, plus three M.2 Key-M 2280 PCIe Gen5 slots.
- 18-36 V DC, -40 to +85 °C: Wide DC input on a 4-pin header, a -40 to +85 °C rating and TPM 2.0 for hardware security.

MILBOARD-THR Description
Defence and aerospace integrators building their own enclosures need Jetson Thor compute on a board whose I/O is isolated, locked and routed through board-to-board connectors, so the enclosure design decides where each connector appears. The Forecr MILBOARD-THR series is a 150 x 140 mm rugged carrier board for the NVIDIA Jetson T5000 and T4000, which Forecr describes as a mil-grade AGX Thor carrier board.
Every interface sits on locking Samtec board-to-board connectors: four 10GBASE-T Ethernet links, three USB 3.2 ports and two HDMI 2.1 outputs, with optional 3G-SDI outputs through the expansion slots. The low-speed connector carries four isolated CAN FD ports, four isolated RS-232/422/485 ports and eight isolated 3.3 V digital I/O lines. Cameras connect through a camera expansion slot with a 120-pin Samtec connector for Forecr’s optional GMSL2 or analogue video add-on boards, so GMSL2 is not on the carrier itself. Storage runs to three NVMe SSDs on M.2 Key-M 2280 slots at PCIe Gen5 x4, x2 and x1, enough for mission recording and map data.
The range has two variants, split by the Jetson Thor module fitted; the carrier, connectors and isolation are the same on both. The MILBOARD-THR-T5000 ships with the Jetson T5000 and 128 GB of LPDDR5X, which Forecr rates at 2070 TFLOPS for sensor fusion and large models. The MILBOARD-THR-T4000 ships with the Jetson T4000 and 64 GB for detection and tracking workloads that fit within 64 GB of memory.
The MILBOARD-THR boards take 18-36 V DC on a 4-pin Molex header and are rated from -40 to +85 °C and 5 to 95 % non-condensing humidity. Forecr builds them only with industrial-grade components, X7R capacitors and locking connectors to resist shock and vibration. TPM 2.0, a 6-axis IMU, a temperature sensor, an EEPROM and an RTC with a battery life of more than 10 years are on board, and an expansion header adds PCIe x1, USB 2.0, I2C, I2S, SPI and GPIO. Forecr lists Ubuntu 24.04 with JetPack 7.x, and supplies the board to defence companies and system integrators after an eligibility check. Typical programmes include defence vehicles, aerospace payloads, naval systems and transport.
