Giada D77-I Rockchip RK3588 Android AI Signage Player with Vision Enhancement and Quad HDMI

A 4K video wall fed with lower-resolution clips or streams can look soft, and re-encoding a content library is rarely practical. The Giada D77-I is an Android signage player on the Rockchip RK3588 with an AI-enabled Vision Enhancement licence: the NPU upscales video above 360p and below 4K to 4K UHD, which Giada says also refines detail, colour and noise. It shares its hardware with the D77, and the DN84-I-8G offers the same licence on a two-screen RK3576 player.

The RK3588 pairs four Cortex-A76 and four Cortex-A55 cores at a 15 W TDP with a Mali-G610 MP4 GPU and a 6 TOPS NPU. On the D77-I that runs Android 12 or Android 15 with 8 GB of onboard LPDDR4x and 128 GB of eMMC, and an M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 slot takes an NVMe SSD for larger content libraries. Display output is three HDMI ports at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz and one at up to 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, all with hardware EDID.

There is one Gigabit Ethernet port for content updates and remote management. An M.2 E-Key slot takes an optional Wi-Fi 5 or Wi-Fi 6 module with Bluetooth, and an M.2 B-Key slot with a SIM socket takes an optional 4G module, with a reserved antenna position for it. Two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, one with OTG, and two USB 2.0 ports cover touch overlays and USB media, one RS232 port on DB9 handles screen control, and mic-in and audio-out carry sound.

The D77-I runs from 0 °C to 45 °C with 0.7 m/s airflow and up to 95% non-condensing humidity, from a 12 V DC adapter, with watchdog and auto power-on for unattended restarts. Giada lists CE, FCC Class B and UKCA, and an optional VESA kit mounts the player behind a display. We supply it with its Android image and vision enhancement licence loaded and the player tested before it ships.
