Giada F109D Intel N-Series Fanless Embedded PCs with Triple 4K Display

A signage player that sits behind a screen for years should not depend on a fan, and it should drive more than one display from one box. The Giada F109D series answers both with fanless embedded PCs built on Intel N-series processors, cooled through a finned metal chassis and fitted with three 4K display outputs. Every F109D shares the same chassis, I/O and memory design, so the choice comes down to the processor. That keeps a mixed estate of screens on one software image and one spares list.

All F109D builds use a four-core, four-thread Intel processor with integrated graphics driving one DisplayPort and two HDMI outputs at up to 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz. Memory is one DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM slot taking up to 16 GB, storage is an M.2 2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD slot with optional onboard eMMC, and TPM 2.0 is optional. Two Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2 and four USB 2.0 ports, two RS232 ports and M.2 slots for an optional Wi-Fi and Bluetooth module and an optional 4G modem cover most signage installations. Windows 11, Ubuntu Linux and ChromeOS Flex are supported.

The F109D-N150 uses the Intel Processor N150 from the Twin Lake generation with Intel Graphics at a 6 W TDP, and is the most recent processor in the range. The F109D-N100 uses the Alder Lake-N N100 with Intel UHD Graphics, also at 6 W. The F109D-N97 uses the Alder Lake-N N97 with Intel UHD Graphics at a 12 W TDP, which suits projects that already standardise on that processor. Because the chassis, I/O and memory are shared, a project can mix builds without changing cabling, mounting or the software image.

In practice the F109D series suits menu boards, retail screens, reception walls, wayfinding and meeting-room displays, where one fanless player can run three screens and restart itself after a power cut through watchdog and auto power-on. These embedded PCs run from 0 °C to 45 °C with up to 95% non-condensing humidity from a 19 V DC adapter, and Giada lists CE, FCC Class B and UKCA. An optional VESA kit mounts each F109D behind a display or under a counter. We supply each F109D with memory, storage and a Windows 11 or Linux image installed and tested before it ships.
