Neousys NRU-154-JON16 NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB Flattop Fanless Edge AI Computer with 4x 2.5GbE PoE+

As inspection models grow and more cameras are added, memory runs out before cooling does. The NRU-154-JON16 doubles the memory of its 8 GB sibling while keeping the sealed-cabinet design. It is the 16 GB PoE+ build of the Neousys NRU-150-FT series of fanless edge AI computers, with an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 16GB module and a flattop heatsink.

The Orin NX 16GB module has 16 GB of LPDDR5 at 3200 MHz, and Neousys rates the series at up to 100 TOPS of inference within 25 W. That headroom suits larger detection and segmentation models, several models running side by side, or multi-stream inference on all four cameras of the NRU-154-JON16. It ships with a 128 GB NVMe drive in the M.2 2242 socket at PCIe Gen4 x2, carrying a pre-installed system image with JetPack.

Four 2.5GbE ports by Intel I226-IT or I225-IT supply 802.3at PoE+ from a 50 W total budget, with screw-lock retention and full bandwidth per port. A separate GbE port links the plant network, and serial I/O is one RS-232 port and one isolated RS-485 port. Two USB 2.0 ports, a micro USB OTG port inside and a DisplayPort output at 3840 x 2160 complete the I/O. Neousys advises limiting the operating temperature to 60 °C at 2.5G link speeds. For lighter workloads, the NRU-154-JON8 uses the 8 GB module.

Power is 12 V DC. Mounted on a 50 x 50 cm metal plate or cabinet, the NRU-154-JON16 runs from -25 °C to 60 °C in 20 W mode with no throttling, with MIL-STD-810H vibration and shock, in a 116 x 171 x 27 mm chassis weighing 1.0 kg.
