Neousys Nuvo-8000 Intel 9th/8th Gen Core Fanless Expansion Box PCs with PCIe and PCI Slots

Automation and test systems often depend on several add-on cards at once: motion controllers, frame grabbers, counter boards and older PCI data acquisition cards that have no PCIe replacement. The Neousys Nuvo-8000 series is a fanless expansion box PC for those systems, with a mix of PCIe and PCI slots behind the front panel and a fanless CPU section that keeps dust and moving parts out of the controller. It suits builders who need to keep validated cards and software images in service while moving to a supported, wide temperature computer.

Every model has an LGA1151 socket for Intel 9th or 8th Gen Core i7, i5 or i3, Pentium G5400T or Celeron G4900T, with 65 W parts set to 35 W by default. The H310 chipset takes one DDR4-2666 SO-DIMM of up to 32 GB, and Intel UHD Graphics 630 drive two DVI-D outputs. The first slot is a PCIe x16 Gen3 slot with all 16 lanes, which can take an independent GPU of up to 125 W for vision or display work. The other PCIe slots and the 33 MHz, 32-bit, 5 V PCI slots vary by model, as described below.

There are four versions. The Nuvo-8003 has three PCIe slots (x16, x8 with four lanes and x4 with one lane) in the narrower chassis. The Nuvo-8023 has three PCIe slots and two PCI slots, the Nuvo-8032 has two PCIe slots and three PCI slots, and the Nuvo-8041 has one PCIe x16 slot and four PCI slots, all in the wider chassis.

All versions share two GbE ports by Intel I219-LM and I210-IT controllers, four USB 3.1 Gen 1 ports, two DVI-D outputs, an RS-232/422/485 port, an RS-422/485 port and three three-wire RS-232 ports, a mic-in and speaker-out jack, two internal SATA bays for 2.5-inch drives and a full-size mSATA socket with SIM support. Power is 8 to 35 V DC on a terminal block. The system runs from -25 °C to 60 °C, meets MIL-STD-810G for vibration and shock, and carries CE and FCC Class A. Wall mounting is standard, with DIN rail and rack mounting as options.
